Name:
The mineral is named in honour of Mr. Rock Henry Currier (Evanston, Illinois, August 25, 1940 - September 25, 2015), mindat.org manager, mineral dealer, collector, author and lecturer.
Type Locality:
A natural pure hydroxyarsenate, which is relatively rare.

Chemically resemblesanatolyite. Structurally related tokaatialaite.
