A former U-V occurrence/mine located in sec. 36, T34N, R23E, G&SRM, 10.7 km (6.6 miles) NE of Taasahdi Dzil (summit) (coordinates of record), and 1.2 miles SW of Sweathouse house, adjacent to, and continuous with Kasewood Bahe #1. T&R values not presented.
The deposit is hosted in Late Cretaceous sandstone. Mineralization is tyuyamunite, metahewettite and clay in pods. Carnotite occurs in the upper part of lower sandstone member of the Toreva Formation, overlain by a 1-2 foot bed of lignite. Local rocks include sedimentary rocks of the Late Cretaceous Mesaverde Group.
Workings include surface openings comprised of open pits and 600 feet of rim stripping.
Production was 12 tons of ore @ 0.47% U3O8; 0.31% V2O5 (1956).
