Formula:Ca(Li2Al)Al6(Si6O18)(BO3)3(OH)3(OH) Description: According to Russo & Escaut (2006) Dr. Pezzotta has analyzed pale red to pastelred colored tourmaline from one pocket found in 2004 and found these to be Ca-rich and consist of liddicoatite (bright pastelred areas) and darker core of elbaite. Later chemical analyses did not find any tourmaline of liddicoatite composition. It is not known if the analysis where made of samples from the 2004 or the 2005 pockets.However new analysis are needed to establish correct species according to the new nomenclature of the tourmaline supergrop.
