Ref.: Eckel, Edwin B. (1997), Minerals of Colorado, updated & revised: 16. Located on East Rifle Creek about 13 mi northeast of Rifle; access is by state highway 13 for 3 mi north of Rifle, then northeast on state highway 325 past the Rifle Gap Reservoir. On the West side of East Rifle Creek in SW ¼ sec. 34 and SE ¼ sec. 33, T. 4 S., R. 92 W.
