Dictator group; Oversite group

A former Cu-Pb-Ag-Zn occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 20, T11S, R7W, NMM, on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). Discovered and first produced in 1885. Last production was 1929. Owned by the Natural Resources Group, Ltd., Durango, Colorado (1980-?). Operated by Cuchillo Mines Company (1930-?). This locality was called the Dictator Mine in the 1880's. The Dictator group was replaced by the Oversite group of 6 claims in 1980. It still is reflected on the topo map as the "Dictator Mine." The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 10 meters.

A polymetallic deposit hosted in limestone. The ore body is podiform. Mineralized solutions were deposited by host rock replacement and void filling. Local rocks include rocks of the Madera Formation.

Workings include underground openings with a length of 152.4 meters and an overall depth of 39.62 meters, and comprised of one vertical shaft 130 feet deep with 100 feet of cross-cutting to an adit 400 feet in length, two shallow winzes and some stoping (1934).
