The Puy de Menoyre is a small (about 800 m diameter, 911 m a.s.l.) trachytic dome located west of the village of Menet. A series of abandoned quarries are still accessible on the North and West flank of the dome.

Fractures of the trachyte are sometime covered by fumarolitic deposition products, including andradite and hematite.

The trachyte is host to a large collection of magmatic enclaves, with compositions ranging from diorites to syenites, as well as pieces of underlying anatectic gneisses.
