danalite, a new beryllium mineral, and subsequently ofcryophyllite, a new lithium mica. Besides being the type locality for these species, the Rockport quarries have afforded an interesting list of rare-earth minerals, and, perhaps most unusual of all, large tabular crystals offayalite, normally an utter stranger to granitic rocks."
Foster, M. D and Evans, H. T. Jr. (1962) analyzed Rockport cryophyllite and determined that type material conformed to ferroan lepidolite.
