Dozens of outcrops of basic alkaline volcanic rocks, including lava flows, up to 60 m thick, necks up to several hundreds of meters across, dikes and sills situated over an area of c. 28 x 20 km extending eastwards from the border with Germany (Sawicki 1966; Jerzmański & Maciejewski 1968).
