SCXRD analysis at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History yielded cell parameters consistent with the cafetite structure refinement published by Krivovichev et al. (2003). This material was called "kassite" for many years. Extra confusion arose due to the publication by Evans et al. (1986) alleging that the XRD data and optical/physical properties for kassite and cafetite had been inadvertently swapped.
