A former small underground Mn-Ag mine located on 1 unpatented claim in the NE ¼ sec. 23, T.20S., R.22E, approximately 2 miles S of Tombstone, on private land. Owned by Mr. Joe M. Escapule.

Mineralization is manganiferous silver ore in lenses and irregular bunches along a fissure zone in Mississippian Escabrosa Limestone. A Mn mineralization phase occurred after a main Fe-Pb-Zn phase in the rest of the district.

Local structures include a fissure zone in the Ajax Hill Horst area, west of small E-W faults on Military Hill.

Workings include an adit 200 feet long and a 25 foot deep winze. A small tonnage of ore was produced prior to 1957.
