Two adjacent copper ore veins, at about 2700 m asl below the glacier (Mikl and Kolitsch, 2014).
Located in a steep, very dangerous area.
The mineralisation consists of chalcopyrite (massive or as crystals on quartz), minor other sulphides, and their weathering products (Mikl and Kolitsch, 2014). The vein produced some of the best malachites in the Eastern Alps.
