A small tin mine in an elvan dyke, which was first worked from 1870 until 1873 and reworked under the name New Terras Mine between 1884 and 1890. The workings consist of an open cut southeast of the road leading from St Stephen to Terras farm and a shaft in the fields northwest of it, which is believed to have been sunk in search of the elvan. The grid reference marks the open cut which is now heavily overgrown.

The mine sold 90 tons of tin concentrate between 1870 and 1873 and raised another 41 tons of black tin between 1884 and 1890. Several iron and copper arsenates have been reported from the greenstones that host the elvan.
