Tertsch (1907) mentions an abandoned marble quarry north of Berging ("located in a small side valley") in which also graphite occurred. The latter was found at a contact between marble and a probably plagioclase gneiss.

Remnants of other small quarries can be recognised on the LIDAR map.

Tertsch (1921) mentions a "Diopsid-Prehnit-Albitfels" near Berging. Amphibolite occurs on the way from Berging to Hohenwart.
