Ancient iron mining area with several dumps.
First records date from the 16th century, it was operated with interuptions till the end of the 19th century.
Located 3.4 km ESE of Wegscheid at approx. N47.67686 E15.36546 (SW of Niederalpl).
The mine comprised several adits, named Danielstollen, Elisabethstollen, Mariastollen and others.

Till 1850 the ore was shipped to the furnace in Niederalpl, from then on it was shipped to the new furnace (Marienhütte) in Aschbach, located at N47.66990 E15.33841. This furnace has been preserved as a historical landmark.

The mine was most of the time jointly operated with the Sohlenalm mine, 1.3 km SE.

Minerals may be found in the now mostly overgrown mine dumps.

Lagerstätten Inventar Nr. 156, 169, gbanr 138.1828.
