ⓘ'Pyrochlore Group var. Uranpyrochlore (of Hogarth 1977)' Formula:(Ca,U,Ce)2(Nb,Ti,Ta)2O6(OH,F) Description: Samiresite was described and named by Lacroix (1912) as a betafite with a content of Pb. Samiresite was later discredited by IMA in 1977 (Hogarth 1977) as a plumbian uranpyrochlore. Uranopyrochlore was later discredited by IMA 2010 due to inadequate modern analysis (Atencio et al. 2010). Samiresite belongs to the zero-valent-dominant pyrochlores.
