Waipoua Forest


Waima River drains a section of Lower Miocene Waipoua basalt lava flows. Boulders within the stream are zeolitised. The reference point is one of many areas of the river that can be accessed from the nearby roads. (Note that this locality was previously wrongly referenced as the Waimea Stream, Northland)
