The mines worked the Bockswiese-Festenburg-Schulenberg vein (Bockswieser-Festenburger-Schulenberger Gangzug).

Located immediately adjacent to the Großer Kellerhalser pond, ca. 3 km N of Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
