That year, partially transparent crystals were unearthed near Itinga, in Lavra Velha, state of Minas Gerais. They were fit to be cut into incredibly large gemstones of up to one hundred carats and were practically devoid of inclusions. Colour, especially in the larger specimens, is a superb, intense chartreuse."
