A silver mine on the south side of Rattlesnake Mountain north of Covada. It worked mineralized quartz lenses in a shear zone 50' wide that was hosted in limestone, schist, and argillite. The deposit is 100' to 150' from the edge of a granodiorite stock. Development consisted of open cuts, a shaft, and two adits. It produced a small amount of ore in 1915.

Tectonics:Jurassic To Cretaceous Granitic To Granodioritic Rocks Intrude Metamorphosed Ordovician? Rocks (Joseph, 1990, Geol. Map, P. 34).

Deposit: The silver leaf deposit is in limestone, schist, and argillite of the ordovician? covada group (joseph, 1990, geol. Map; moen, 1976, p. 98). ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Development: Econ.com: produced in 1911, 1912, 1915, 1916, and 1935. Produced a small amount of tungsten in 1915 (huntting, 1956, p. 294). According to moen (1976, p. 98), the mine probably produced about 2000 oz. Of Ag from a small total tonnage.

Ore(s):Mineralization Is In Quartz Lenses In A 50 Ft. Wide Shear Zone In Limestone, Schist, And Argillite (Moen, 1976, P. 98).
