Ion adsorption type REE deposits (consisting of REE-rich clay), occurring in the weathering profiles of individual granites within the Longnan granite complex (consisting of biotite, biotite-muscovite and muscovite granites). The mineralized area is about 40 km2 at surface. The average thickness of the orebody is around 10 m, but can be up to 29 m locally.
