Old copper-silver-lead-zinc mine/deposit with various adits and workings.
Located on Pfunderer Berg (a mountain) and on the nearby Villanderer Berg and Villanderer Alp.

First mentioned in 1140. Around 1300 it was called Garnstein (or Gerstein) mine. Last mining activities were from 1918-1921 and during WWII. The oldest workings are, interestingly, at the highest altitudes.
The ore assemblage consists mainly of sphalerite, chalcopyrite, galena and fahlore (tetrahedrite).

The Elisabeth adit is now a tourist mine. Presently, the Lorenz adit (connected to the Elisabeth adit) is reactivated.

Note on the mineral list:http://www.bergwerk.it/mineralogie.html mentions 95 species, among them many secondary ones, but without references.

Adits: 1) Hirschlegg-Stollen, 2) Vittorio Emanuele-Stollen, 3) Franz-Stollen, 4) Theresia-Stollen, 5) Katharina-Stollen, 6) Kassian-Stollen, 7) Barbara-Stollen, 8) Andreas-Stollen, 9) Nikolaus-Stollen, 10) Elisabeth-Stollen, 11) Lorenz-Stollen, 12) Fundgrube, 13) Kreuz-Stollen, 14) Martin-Stollen, 15) Mathias-Stollen, 16) Georg-Stollen.
