This is the locality for the famous "Van Allen Belt" rose quartz crystal specimen (Wilson, 1999). Located approximately 8 km south of the town of Divino das Laranjeiras and about 3 km east-southeast of the town of Sapucaia do Norte.

Aimorés pegmatite district, Eastern Brazilian pegmatite province.

Samples from this locality were erroneously labelled as coming from the Sapucaia (Wilson 1999).
