An abandoned mining village.
Mines operated primarily between 1898 and 1925.

Paragenesis consists of five stages, with stage 1 being the development of open space fractures through normal faulting with deposition of quartz – carbonate and early pyrite. Stage 2 involved the deposition of a quartz – pyrite – arsenopyrite assemblage with some veins showing crustiform banding. Stage 3 was the main stage of sulfide deposition, with the ore-forming fluids evolving over time. Initially sphalerite and minor pyrite were deposited, then tetrahedrite – tennantite with gold and probable bornite, followed by chalcopyrite, galena and native silver with some pyrite and sericite and finally pyrargyrite, polybasite and pearceite. Stage 4 involved the infilling of voids by quartz and minor late pyrite and some sericite, whereas stage 5 saw the filling of any remaining voids by siderite and minor ankerite.
