"The Australian Broken Hill Consols mine (the Consols Lode) is a transgressive vein-type deposit situated some 550 m south-east of the North Mine Lease at Broken Hill. The deposit was discovered in 1890 and was worked for thirteen years, and though of only modest size produced 845,000 oz (23,897 kg) of silver and 20 tons of lead.
Primary components of the Consols ore comprise silver, arsenic, antimony and cobalt rich arsenides, antimonides, sulphosalts, sulphides, native elements and intermetallic compounds."
The deposit yielded three new minerals-
Willyamite
Costibite
Paradocrasite.
