Structure:Faulting, Gouge Zones Terminate Ore Zones

Alteration:Silicification, Alunitization

Deposit: Hanging wall of ore zone consists of a series of fissures, which change orientation often. Much material is closely sheeted. Pay shoots were irregularly distributed in the ledges.

Deposit type: Epithermal quartz-alunite Au

Development: Goldfield Mohawk Mining Co. Incorporated July 1904 — then taken over in 1906 by Wingfield and Nixon. Mohawk no. 2 became one of Goldfield's richest producers in 1909, mostly under Hays-Monnette lease as well as others.
