Athletics and Recreation
Whether you play on the field or cheer from the stands, you have a place in Miami University athletics. Miami RedHawks compete in the NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference, and the U.S. Figure Skating Association. We offer hundreds of opportunities for students, faculty, and fans to participate in sports, games, and recreation at every level.
Intercollegiate Athletics
Miami's Code of Love and Honor extends onto the fields and the courts, into the stands, and beyond, upholding a tradition of athletic excellence as old as the university itself. Our eight men's and 11 women's intercollegiate teams demonstrate the power of will — and we invite all Miamians to show your support.

Sports and Recreation Facilities
In addition to our state-of-the-art Rec Center, Miami maintains Goggins Ice Center, the Outdoor Pursuit Center, and more than 1,000 acres of natural parkland around our Oxford campus, so you're bound to find a fun, physical activity that moves and inspires you.
Find Your Fit at the Rec Center
Enjoy basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, and racquetball, as well as an Aquatic Center with two swimming pools; several aerobics rooms; an indoor jogging track; a climbing wall; and a two-story fitness center.
Get on the Ice at Goggin Ice Center
Home to Miami hockey games, Goggin contains two ice rinks available for public skating, broomball, summer camps, and community lessons.
Go for a Ride at the Equestrian Center
The equestrian center stables 50 horses and is home to a nationally recognized equestrian team.
Reach New Heights at the Outdoor Pursuit Center (OPC)
Along with adventure outings such as camping, hiking, canoeing, and rafting trips, the OPC offers equipment rental and sponsors after-school youth programs.
Discover Natural Spaces and Trails
Located around Oxford, Miami's nature parkland comprise over 1,000 acres with 17 miles of trails for you to hike, jog, research, birdwatch, dog walk, explore, learn, discover, meditate or “just be”.

Campus Recreation
Pursue the sport you love. Make friendships to last a lifetime. At Miami, we offer more than 50 club teams, hundreds of intramural teams, and state-of-the-art facilities for you to explore your passions in healthy, active ways.
Club Sports
Miami Club Sports boasts one of the largest programs in the country with 50+ club teams and 12 national championships over the past decade. While some club sports have coaches, most are completely student-driven, with clubs being self-managed through a team of student officers.
Intramural Sports
Our Intramural Program provides students, faculty, and staff-structured sporting activities with an emphasis on participation, fun, and safety. We offer leagues, tournaments, individual and dual events to foster a healthy spirit of competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
