Extraordinary.
By Derek MalcolmFULL REVIEW
An eye-popping dramatization of an audio storyline. Being a visual translation of a so-called 'concept' album, pic works extremely well in carrying over the somber tone of the LP.

This is not just one of the best albums of the 20th century. This is a good example of how professional critics fail to recognize a truly talented thing. Look, here on the left you see a column with reviews, including the time of the film's release. Look how many negative ones. Look at what these critics reproach the group. Since then, the situation with "professional critics" has only gotten worse. But the album and Films, as it was relevant then, and remains relevant today. My only regret is that the track "Hey You" was not included in the film.

A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece. A masterpiece.

His The Wall is a good-looking film, and it has no shortage of nerve. When he puts an entire schoolchildren's choir on a conveyor belt leading into a meat grinder as they sing, ''We don't need no education,'' he is being nothing if not bold. These effects, while some are individually powerful, are dwarfed by the towering selfimportance of The Wall and by its lack of focus.
All in all, it's just another flick to appal.

It’s a pretty grim portrait, but even worse it is often repetitive and boring. There are probably enough powerful segments for half a dozen or so outstanding rock videos but not a full-length feature. [13 Sept 1982]

The film adaptation of Pink Floyd's chart-topping album The Wall has all the humor and charm of a brain tumor. [21 Sept 1982, p.B4]

Atrocious. It's also pretentious, superfluous, superficial, shallow, dated and bilious. I'd pay money not to have seen this jumble of gooey special effects, sappy symbolism and out-of-it animation. [17 Sept 1982, p.13]

I'll be honest, I was convinced to watch The Wall after watching the Nostalgia Critic's "review" on YouTube. I am so glad that I did. The Nostalgia Critic's review is utter problematic garbage, and this movie is so inspiring and haunting and is a real masterpiece.

The Wall is an absolute masterpiece of artistic expression. Roger Waters has taken what is a very personal story and experience, and has expanded on it and kept it coherent while making it a message everyone can understand and relate to. It's unique, the music is incredible, the animation is haunting, and it is so immersive that it becomes east to lose yourself in this movie. Highly recommend!

It uses a lot of show not tell and it's executed perfectly, it's my favorite movie of all time and album as well.

Its missing hey you, which is my favorite song in this album.Although I did kind off like it because after watching I could understand the story of the album a bit more,so yeah, other than that,it was a pretty bad movie.
