Pixar has raised the animation bar again, with its most musical — and arguably most magical — film yet. If this is the afterlife we’re all headed to, don’t fear the reaper.
Dec 9, 2017
It’s not a subtle movie, but it’s an uncommonly affecting one—a film that, like Pixar’s best, manages to be whimsical and bone-deep, all at once.

Best animated movie I've watched until now. It has literally shaped my childhood.

Coco is one of Pixar’s most gorgeously animated outings in some time.
Nov 21, 2017
The vividness of the narrative never quite matches the riotous swirl of color and culture on screen — and neither do the songs, sadly, for how central they are to the story. Instead, Coco settles into something gentler but still irrefutably sweet: a movie that plays safe with the status quo, even as it breaks with it.

Yes, Coco thrills with its of-the-moment visual invention, but its core elements — dead relatives, family photos, the power of loving memory — couldn’t be more timeless. When Pixar made me cry this time, it wasn’t just for the characters on the screen. It was for the people I remember, and the ones I hope will remember me.

After a string of films ranging from safe sequels (Finding Dory) to franchise duds (Cars 3) to not-fully-realized adventures (The Good Dinosaur), this is Pixar coming back in a heartfelt, gorgeous way.

It’s so respectful that vibrancy suffers. Coco is a bright pinata of a movie that breaks and nothing falls out.

One of Pixar's top 5 movies. What makes this movie so good is not only an emotional story with twists and turns, but the insane visual effects to show the land of the dead. This movie has the best visual effects of any Pixar movie in my opinion.

Disney and pixar have crafted another movie which whole purpose it's to make people emotional while giving a story that it's far from being original (The quest of someone to a land of souls/deaad to discover himself or his past it's more common than you'd think) With that said, the soundtrack it's just beautiful and the visuals are astonishing, as usual.

Sorry for saying this, Pixar. I get what you were trying to say, and I got the feeling of Mexico, but I wasn't really in to the movie in the most of the scenes. However, I really love the title and why they chose it, but I really want Pixar to be Pixar, not Disney.

To be honest, I personally did not like Coco, please don't dislike this, it's just my opinion.
