An adventure that perfectly balances absurdity and irreverence, yet beneath it all, holds tight to a story about the love between a grandmother and her grandson — with a delicious meal as the bond that brings them together. Straight to the heart.

SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato is a lovely adventure title that shows just how creative storytelling you can be with the smallest of foods. It encapsulates a piece of Latin America within its gorgeous art, enchanting music, and engaging puzzles. Technical issues do eventually compound to make for a bit of a cumbersome experience, but I can look past that to recommend this adventure to all.

StudioBando delivers a charming, family-friendly adventure with clever puzzles, expressive animation, and heartfelt humor inspired by Latin American culture, though its less polished action segments, repetitive music, and minor bugs slightly hold back an otherwise magical and imaginative experience.
