Yoshi Bomb
Yoshi Bomb (referred to as simplyBomb[1] andHip Drop[2] in the originalSuper Smash Bros.) isYoshi'sdown special move in theSuper Smash Bros. series. Based on theGround Pound, a move introduced inSuper Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, when used Yoshi leaps into the air and pounds the ground to attack opponents beneath him; he can also pound the ground from any point when used in the air. When he lands the attack produces stars on both sides of Yoshi that also deal damage. InSuper Smash Bros. Brawl, the attack's startup when used on the ground also hits opponents, leading into the actual attack.
InSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS /Wii U, this move has two unlockable variants. The first isStar Bomb, which deals a weaker ground pound, but the stars produced afterward are stronger, larger, and fly farther. The second isCrushing Bomb, which deals a slower but more powerful ground pound that lacks the stars.
