Yoshi Blocks are objects inSuper Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (andits reissue) andYoshi's Island DS. Theseblocks depict the face of theYoshi being played as. When a Yoshi transforms into a vehicle by using amorph bubble, the player has a limited amount of time to reach the Yoshi Block in order to advance in thelevel. Upon touching the block, the Yoshi returns to normal and is reunited withBaby Mario (or the otherbabies inYoshi's Island DS) and their supply ofYoshi Eggs. If the transformed Yoshi does not reach the block within the time limit, the Yoshi is automatically returned to the original spot of the morph bubble, forcing the Yoshi to attempt to reach the Yoshi Block again.
