Yellow Blocks (also formatted asyellow blocks) are objects seen in thePaper Mario series. They can be destroyed with the basichammer. InPaper Mario andPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, they are not very hard to get by, withstone blocks andmetal blocks presenting more difficult obstacles. In the latter game, however, a new type of Yellow Block called aBig Yellow Block is also present, being much larger, having angry eyebrows, and requiring theSuper Hammer move in order to be destroyed. In the originalPaper Mario,Kammy Koopa is shown summoning one of these in to interfere withMario's progress, as well as to fightTwink andPrincess Peach while Mario and his team are in the middle of their final battle withBowser on thePower Platform atopPeach's Castle.

InSuper Paper Mario, yellow blocks are significantly rarer than in the previous games, likely due to the fact thatCudge, the hammerPixl, is not acquired until Chapter 5.

Yellow Blocks share their appearance with theRotating Blocks fromSuper Mario World.
