Wow Buds[1][2] are interactable flower buds that appear inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder. When touched, Wow Buds can have various effects on the level, such as releasing coins or aWonder Flower, creating or modifying blocks or platforms, or making another Wow Bud appear. They resemble the in-game sprites ofJumping Piranha Plants fromSuper Mario World. Their colors match the color of the Wonder Flowers of the world they are in.

Wow Buds can be found on the ground, in the air, or in the water, but they can also be held in blocks, in which case they will activate when the block is hit. Some Wow Buds are dried and must be watered with the aid of a water pot or theElephant form before they can be interacted with.
