Arrangements[edit]
The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
Three arrangements of "World 1 Map (Grass Land)" can be heard throughoutThe Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. The first and second arrangement both have an alternate version of the track that is more commonly used than the full mix.
The first arrangement is a slowed-down relaxed variation, often serving as a title card theme. The alternate less backing instruments version usually plays when eitherMario and his friends are the main focus of the scene or right before trouble happens. Both debut in "Reptiles in the Rose Garden", the former playing as Mario and his friends walk through theMushroom Kingdom while the latter serves as the title card theme. The full mix is also used for the episode selection screen on the show'scomplete series DVD box set.
The second arrangement is a down-tempo mix, only used thrice in "Oh, Brother!" and as the title card theme for "Kootie Pie Rocks". The alternate version has no percussion and is typically more upbeat than the full mix. This version usually plays when the heroes save the day, with its first usage being the title card theme for "Princess Toadstool for President".
The third arrangement is similar to that of the first arrangement, although it has a slightly altered melody. It only plays in the episode "Super Koopa" when Mario andPrincess Toadstool arrive inParis.
