Work Zone is the first race of theShell Cup inMario Kart Live: Home Circuit. This course seems to take place in a workshop, with the gates being designed to appear as though they are under construction. This track features no serious obstacles, though a majority of the gates have magnets attracting nearby racers. This race reuses the music fromMario Kart 8'sGBA Mario Circuit for its theme. The course's icon depictsMario in hisBuilder Outfit on theBig Scoop, which has three balls of dirt on its bucket, being attracted by a magnet.

The gates in this race are stylized with cranes above each one, suiting the course's workshop theme. Most gates feature magnets, with only one providingItem Boxes.
