Weird Ball is the name of theSpecial Ball thatBirdo uses inMario Superstar Baseball. While pitching, Birdo throws the ball, and it bounces on one side of the ground and then bounces farther to the other side as it passes the batter. This can trick the batter, as the ball quickly bounces from one side to the other. However, this pitch can result in a ball.

If Birdo is batting, the ball is shot to the infield and bounces around the area. It works similar toYoshi'sEgg Ball, except the Weird Ball has pink spots rather than green spots, and bounces farther on the outfield.

In Challenge Mode, the player must obtain thePink Egg Power-Up before being able to use this move.
