- “Who left those Water Shooters on?! Hey, wouldyou give thatvalve over there a twist and turn them off?”
- —Gearmo during "The Floating Fortress",Super Mario Galaxy
Water Shooters are enemies appearing inSuper Mario Galaxy andSuper Mario Galaxy 2. They look like and function in a very similar manner to theSquirt Nozzle used byFLUDD inSuper Mario Sunshine, though Water Shooters are blue, while FLUDD is yellow, and the water produced is in the form of abubble, rather than a spray. These bubbles, while harmless, captureMario orLuigi and whisk him away on contact, generally serving as a hindrance, but occasionally are used to transport the player elsewhere. If Mario or Luigi is caught in a bubble, using thespin breaks him out.
History[edit]

Water Shooters first appear inSuper Mario Galaxy andits Nintendo Switch port. Sometimes, they are not active until a certain goal is achieved, while some in theBuoy Base Galaxy are deactivated by spinning avalve. - Sand Spiral Galaxy
- Deep Dark Galaxy ("Bubble Blastoff", "Boo in a Box")
Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]
Water Shooters return inSuper Mario Galaxy 2 andits Nintendo Switch port. In theSpace Storm Galaxy'ssecond mission, they move abnormally fast, like most other obstacles in the mission, and can be slowed down with ablue switch. Bee Mario andCloud Mario get reverted to normal Mario if caught in their bubbles.
Water Shooters appear in the following list of galaxies and missions. If no mission is stated, Water Shooters appear during all missions:
- Starshine Beach Galaxy ("Climbing the Cloudy Tower")
