TheWatch is an item in the PC release ofMario's Time Machine. It is a goldenpocket watch on a chain.Mario receives it from a curmudgeonous banker inLondon after he travels back in time to 1843. After giving one ofCharles Dickens' books to a banker and asking him why he is so grumpy, the banker eventually gives up, giving him the Watch and telling him to leave. Nearby,Catherine Dickens wants to prepare a roast dinner for her husband, Charles, and is concerned that she might be late. Mario then gives her the Watch, and she is reassured that she does not need to return. In return, she stays in the butcher shop and talks with Mario about Charles.
