Vanilla Dome 3 is the thirdlevel of theVanilla Dome inSuper Mario World. It can be accessed through the completion ofVanilla Ghost House. By completing this level, the player gains access toVanilla Dome 4. This is the only level in the game that has a larger dot without a secret exit.

Layout[edit]

The level takes place on alava river in the Vanilla Dome world. At the start of the level, there are twoFlying ? Blocks and a stationary one. The first Flying ? Block and the stationary one are coin blocks, and the top Flying ? Block contains a1-Up Mushroom.

The player must continue on the lava river while standing onSkull Rafts and avoiding Blarggs. On the next platform, the player needs to hit an invisibleCoin Block to get over the pipes. There is also a power-up ? Block containing aCape Feather. Afterwards, there is a yellow pipe leading to a cave coated inice; past that, there is a blueunshelled Koopa kicking a red shell up and down the adjacent pipe, right underneath theMidway Gate. Yoshi is available in the ? Block above the Midway Gate, which can be hit by throwing the red shell upwards directly under the ? Block. After that, there are more Skull Rafts, and they continue until the end of the level.

With a cape, the Mario Bros. can fly up to the ceiling near where the orange pipes and invisible blocks are to find two secret areas. To the left, there is a platform with a3-Up Moon, and to the right, there is apipe to a bonus game.
