VS. Bloat-Hog is the boss level of theMelon Kingdom inDonkey Kong Jungle Beat and thePeach Kingdom inNew Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, as well as the eleventh boss level in the originalNintendo GameCube version and the tenth main boss level in the enhancedNew Play Control!port for theWii. It takes place on a bridge in front of a valley's waterfall. This level's objective is to defeatBloat-Hog.
Level layout[edit]
In this level,Bloat-Hog has 500 health points. It attacks not only by throwing electrified watermelons andchestnuts atDonkey Kong, the latter that he should avoid, but also charging electricity, fly at him, and then striking him, just likeMo-Hog does in the second phase ofVS. Mo-Hog. He must use hisSound Wave Attack on the watermelon to rid it of electricity. This allows Donkey Kong to stun Gloat-Hog and punch him repeatedly.
After losing at least two fifths of its health, Bloat-Hog will begin the second (and final) phase. Here, it will mentally charge up eight electric spheres to fire them in every direction. If Donkey Kong deals damage to defeat Bloat-Hog, he will earn one to fourcrests in the originalDonkey Kong Jungle Beat and one to three in theenhancedNew Play Control!port for theWii.
