Ultra-Hand Return isWario'sDefensive Power Shot inMario Power Tennis. It is based on Nintendo developerGunpei Yokoi's first invention, theUltra Hand.
Wario flashes a big W, pulls out a stretcher with a glove, and extends the stretcher toward the ball. This causes the ball to cross over the net with a little power and is a straight shot. This gadget may have come fromBowser's training room, seen in the opening cinema of the game, where Bowser attempts to train Wario andWaluigi so they can beat the Mario brothers in a tennis match.
