Turbo Ski
TheTurbo Ski, also spelledTurbo-Ski,[1] is one of four vehicles leased byFunky Kong at hisvehicle rental service inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is the third vehicle that can be used, because while Funky would like to build the Turbo Ski forDixie andKiddy Kong, he is lacking two crucial pieces: theskis, but once theKongs obtain both and give them to Funky, he uses them to complete the Turbo Ski, allowing the Kongs to travel with it around theNorthern Kremisphere map. The Turbo Ski's main feature is its ability to go up waterfalls, if the player holds (
in theremake), opening access to nearly every other area, includingK3,Kaos Kore, and asecret cave, "Undercover Cove". The only thing restricting the Turbo Ski from going everywhere on the map is flight, something that only Funky's next vehicle, theGyrocopter, can do. In theGame Boy Advance version, the Turbo Ski is used in the Raceminigame ofFunky's Rentals, where Dixie and Kiddy have to race against severalKremlings.
If the player uses the horn by pressing while holding
and
simultaneously, themain theme ofHawaii Five-O plays.
