Topminis[1] areenemies inSuper Mario Galaxy andSuper Mario Galaxy 2. Each of these small yellowTopmen has a black spinner with gold bulbs, as well as two black ovals for eyes akin toToads. Their name involves the prefix "mini-" (referring to them being small) being added to the end of "top" as a suffix, forming a pun on "Topman."

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]
Topminis debut inSuper Mario Galaxy and reappear in itsNintendo Switchport as rare enemies, exclusive to industrial-themedgalaxies. They are typically found in groups of two to three, and they try to spin intoMario orLuigi, simply pushing them backwards. This move, though incapable of damaging Mario directly, can push him off platforms or into hazards. Topminis can be defeated only from aspin, causing them to explode into oneStar Bit, or from a Star Bit being shot at them, in which case they reward three Star Bits instead. In many areas after the Topminis are defeated, a hole appears and more of the enemies emerge from it.
Topminis appear as support enemies inTopmaniac's first battle. In theBuoy Base Galaxy only, Topminis can be released from theSentry Garage that attempts to knock Mario into something dangerous. Occasionally, they are released fromSpring Topmen as well after they are attacked.
Topminis appear in the following list of galaxies and missions. If no mission is stated, Topminis appear during all missions:
- Battlerock Galaxy ("Battlerock Barrage", "Topmaniac and the Topman Tribe", "Topmaniac's Daredevil Run", "Luigi under the Saucer")
- Buoy Base Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]
Topminis are enemies inSuper Mario Galaxy 2 and its Nintendo Switchport. They are exclusively encountered in theSpace Storm Galaxy. Topminis behave just as in the previous game, including their respawning behavior.

"Topmini" is a portmanteau of "Topman" and the prefix "mini-", denoting a small size.
