"Title Theme"[1][2] is a musical theme composed byKoji Kondo forSuper Mario 64, where it plays in the title screen. It is an arrangement of "Ground BGM" fromSuper Mario Bros. played onsteelpan.

Super Mario 64 /Super Mario 64 DS[edit]
Super Mario 64 marks the first appearance of "Title Theme", and it returns for the same purpose in theNintendo DSremake,Super Mario 64 DS, and theNintendo Switch port,Super Mario 3D All-Stars. It is also included in the official albumsSuper Mario 64 Original Soundtrack andNintendo 64 Original Soundtrack Greatest Hits.
Nintendo Sound Adventures /N64Y2K Millennium Trax[edit]
TheNintendo Sound Adventures album contains a track based on "Title Theme". The opening track, "OVERTURE (MARIO'S JUNGLE INTRO)," is a breakbeat arrangement including a low-tempo edit of the opening bars of "Title Theme" throughout the track. A deep voice is heard singing "Nintendo!" and "This is the sound... of Nintendo!" over it.
"OVERTURE (MARIO'S JUNGLE INTRO)" is also included on the later compilation albumN64Y2K Millennium Trax. This includes an additional track to close the album, called "GAME OVER (MARIO'S JUNGLE OUTRO)." It uses the opening bars slowed down, with the same deep voice saying "Game Over!" over the end of it.

Minecraft[edit]
In theWii U,Nintendo Switch, andNew Nintendo 3DS versions ofMinecraft, the original version of "Title Theme" plays in the menu and staff credits of theSuper Mario Mash-Up Pack.

The "Super Mario Orchestra Concert" series featured a live orchestral medley arrangement of several musical themes fromSuper Mario 64, including "Title Theme".
