Super Mario Bros. (Game & Watch)[edit]
In the 1986Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch,Alarm Koopa will emit a much faster arrangement of the "Timer Warning" theme on repeat until the player turns the alarm off.
Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
Super Mario Bros. 3 features an arrangement of "Timer Warning", titled "Timer Warning" in theNintendo Music app. It uses the Japanese name 「ワーニング」 (Wāningu, "Warning") in the albumFamicom Sound History Series: Mario the Music. It plays whenever the Time Limit reaches 100 seconds, pausing the background music currently playing. After the theme plays, a sped-up version of the background music resumes.
This arrangement is reused inNES Remix 2, which includes several challenges based onSuper Mario Bros. 3 where it is possible for the Time Limit to reach 100 seconds and "Timer Warning" to play. It is possible to hear the arrangement inSuper Mario Bros. 3 Stages 7, 15 and 16, Bonus Stages 1, 6, 8, 10-3, 15, 17, 20-1, 20-5, and 21, Remix I Stages 3, 5, 10-3, 10-4, 12, and 20-2, and Remix II Stages 4, 10-1, 19, 20-7, and 20-8. It is also reused inamiibo tap: Nintendo's Greatest Bits, which includesSuper Mario Bros. 3 as an unlockable game. Since each Scene can only be played for 180 real-life seconds, it is possible for the Time Limit to reach 99 and "Timer Warning" to be heard in every Scene other than Scene 10, as its Time Limits begins at 400 rather than 300.
It is also reused inSuper Mario Maker,Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, andSuper Mario Maker 2, where it plays whenever the Time Limit reaches 99 seconds in aSuper Mario Bros. 3-style level.
