Ticktock Hop is a Duelminigame inMario Party 3 (where it is parsed asTick Tock Hop) andMario Party Superstars.
Overview[edit]
Both players stand on the hour hand of a clock resembling thepainting associated withTick Tock Clock inSuper Mario 64. Theyjump over the minute hand as it rotates around until one of them is hit by it, making the other player win. Unlike in most Duel minigames in theMario Party series, the conditions are not equal for both players; the player closer to the center is at a disadvantage, as the minute hand is under them for a longer time than the player on the outside.[1]
The longer the game goes on, the more the movement pattern varies, such as only the hour hand moving, both hands rotating, the hands moving at different speeds, or reversing direction. If both players are eliminated or have jumped over the minute hand 99 times, the game ends in a draw.
An "Endless" version of Ticktop Hop appears inMario Party Superstars, continuing until both players are eliminated.[2]
