The Star in the Sinking Swamp is the hidden third mission of theBoo Moon Galaxy inSuper Mario Galaxy 2 and itsNintendo Switch port. This mission takes place in theSilver Stars Pop-Up mission.

Mission[edit]

The player has to redo the first mission up until they reach theLaunch Star at the end of theSinking Swamp. Instead of taking the Launch Star, the player should continue following theSnake Block, which will dive under the swamp, but will resurface shortly after. Following along a smaller and faster moving Snake Block and avoiding theOctoboos, the player can reach thePower Star at the end.
