The goal is to ride down to the final area and hit theyellow block to release the Power Star inside.

The music that plays in the course is a variation of the "Main Theme," as well as "Cool, Cool Mountain," involving a Western style, with an instrumentation of a harmonica, a bass, drums, a banjo, and a whistle. This music can also be heard during the races withKoopa the Quick and in most other secret courses, in secret areas that involve a slide, and in other regular courses such asTick Tock Clock andRainbow Ride. This music has since been either arranged or reused in multiple future titles in theSuper Mario franchise.
