The Divide is the fifth layer visited in theUnderground World ofDonkey Kong Bananza, occupying sublayer 400. It is a small layer prominently featuring Switcheroo Goo to allowDonkey Kong andPauline to reach higher areas. As the name suggests, there are two paths leading to theFreezer Layer and theForest Layer; the player can choose which one to enter first, but will have to return to choose the other path in order to progress.

Banandium Gems[edit]

There are a total of fourteen Banandium Gems (nine regular gems and one bunch of 5) in the Divide. DuringDonkey Kong's first visit to this layer, he can collect eight Banandium Gems and the bunch of Gems. After Donkey Kong defeatsKing K. Rool inNew Donk City, another Banandium Gem becomes available to collect.
