ATatami Block is a largeblock that appears inWorld 5 inYoshi's New Island. Tatami Blocks appear inReady, Steady, Go! andPunkey the Pokey Prince's Castle. When a Tatami Block isground-pounded, it causes more blocks to spawn from it, unfolding and going in a certain direction. After a particular amount of time has passed, the platforms despawn, flipping back inside. The block is named aftertatami mats, named after their ability to fold.
